MEHMET DURAKOĞLU RE-ELECTED AS THE PRESIDENT OF ISTANBUL BAR ASSOCIATION

General Assembly of Istanbul Bar Association was held in Haliç Congress Center in Sütlüce on 16-17 October 2021.

Having received 32.67% of the total number of votes with 8503 votes out of 26030 in 31 ballot boxes in total, Önce İlke Çağdaş Avukatlar (Principle First Contemporary Lawyers Group)  canditate  Atty. Mehmet Durakoğlu (President of Istanbul Bar Association for two consecutive terms) was re-elected for the third time as the President of Istanbul Bar Association. Durakoğlu will be fulfilling the presidency of Istanbul Bar Association for the term 2021-2022. Principle First Contemporary Lawyers Group has been winning the elections for 9 consecutive terms.

Önce İlke Çağdaş Avukatlar Yükseliş Hareketi (Principle First Contemporary Lawyers Rising Movement ): 6107 votes (23.46%)

Avukat Hakları Grubu (Lawyers’ Rights Group): 5994 votes (23.03%)

Çağdaş Avukatlar Grubu (Contemporary Lawyers Group): 1687 votes (6,48%)

Özgürlükçü Demokrat Avukatlar (Democratic Lawyers for Freedom): 1674 votes (6,43%)

İstanbul Milliyetçi Avukatlar Grubu (Istanbul Nationalist Lawyers Group): 1109 votes (4,26%)

Bağımsız Avukatlar Grubu  (Independent Lawyers Group): 956 votes (3.67%)
