NORWEGIAN DELEGATION VISITS ISTANBUL BAR ASSOCIATION

Christoffer Peder-Ellefsen, Senior Adviser from Norwegian Directorate of Immigration, and Kai E. Kverme, Middle East Country Analyst from Landinfo (Country of Origin Information Centre) paid a visit to Istanbul Bar Association at 11.00 on Friday, November 1, 2019. The delegation was welcomed by Atty. Cengiz Yaka, Secretary-General of Istanbul Bar Association.  

Criminal proceedings after the failed coup attempt of July 15, state of emergency and governmental decrees in Turkey, access to justice and right to fair trial, current situation and rights of refugees were the topics discussed during the meeting.

Ece Basmacı Karalar, Foreign Relations Coordinator of Istanbul Bar Association, was also in attendance at the meeting.
