EUROPEAN LAW STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION VISITS ISTANBUL BAR ASSOCIATION

European Law Students’ Association paid a visit to Istanbul Bar Association at 14.30 on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. A delegation of 30 law students from ELSA Branches in Thessaloniki, Athens and Istanbul were welcomed by Atty. Nazan Moroğlu, Vice-President of Istanbul Bar Association and Atty. Burcu Aslan, Board Member of Istanbul Bar Association. Ece Basmacı Karalar, Foreign Relations Coordinator of Istanbul Bar Association, also attended the meeting.

History of Istanbul Bar Association, its commissions and centers, member structure, legal education in Turkey, attorneyship training, conditions for admission to legal profession in Turkey, Young Lawyers’ Center of Istanbul Bar Association, vocational trainings offered by Istanbul Bar Association to its members, human rights activities and legal aid function of Istanbul Bar Association were among the topics discussed during the meeting.

The delegation presented a thanks plaque to Moroğlu at the end of the meeting.
